Evlana Ensemble- Constellations

A series of 3 concerts taking place in April 2021, “Constellations” highlights Irish chamber work over the last 40 years, showcasing some of Ireland’s most accomplished performers and composers. Throughout the series, members of Evlana perform pieces by Judith Ring, John McLachlan & Amanda Feery. Works by Deirdre McKay, John Buckley & Raymond Deane also feature in the programme which also includes a world premiere by Jane Deasy.

Evlana Ensemble

Evlana prioritises music of our time but also engages with repertoire of previous centuries. Commissioning new works is integral to the objectives of Evlana as well as providing opportunities for repeat performances. The ensemble's inaugural concert took place at the University Church Dublin in 2015 with support from the Arts Council.
This concert was later broadcast on RTÉ lyric fm. It featured several Irish premieres including Changing Light (Kaija Saariaho), Zipangu (Claude Vivier) and Taromirs Tid (Karin Rehnqvist) and the world premiere of Siobhán Cleary’s Her Kind for soprano, piccolo and string orchestra.
